2013, video installation, loop repeated play

Graduating from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Ran Slavin has rich experiences of exhibition and performance in Israel and Europe. His works includes film, video installation, video-sound performance, and so forth. The artist likes to adjust his video installation in accordance with the exhibition space, so as to create a unique ambience of mythology, history, and unusual experience. The video installation Ran Slavin exhibits this time "Ghost", seemingly a plain narrative of the image of "ghost", is in fact revealing the circumstances of the inmates in Hansen House. The work was installed into Hansen House Jerusalem back in 2013, as a sarcastic reflection of outsiders' attitude toward the inmates. The artist poses a question through the confrontation with ghosts, "Who is looking at whom?"
